Jiansheng (Jason) Qu has joined CCB from the Chinese Academy of Sciences for six months. He will be working with Qian Ye Yiming He, and Mickey Glantz on Coastal Urban Affairs. Jason's email address is jsqu@lzb.ac.cn.

Ivan Ramirez and Lino Naranjo, with assistance from Elsa Galarza, have completed an update of the El Niño Affairs website (in Spanish), with new and expanded definitions, themes, and virtual community.

7/3/07:
He's BACK! Ivan Ramirez begins our summer 2007 visitors. Ivan will be in CCB until mid-August, returning for his second summer to work on El Niño Affairs with Mickey. Here is his new information.

Michael Glantz has released the publication of his latest edited volume: Heads Up! Early Warning Systems for Climate, Water, and Weather.

Mickey Glantz collaborated with two other authors on an article about ENSO that appears in the 15 December 2006 issue of Science Magazinehere.
